On Answering the Phone

When I called Shawners on the phone the other night, he picks up the phone, knowing it's me and answers the phone saying,

"I realllllly love you, Mommy."

On Sirs and Men

Brando tells Shawners this evening, "Go to bed, young man."

Shawners says, "I'm on it, old sir."

On Bunnies

Shawner's dog, Star Bear, took off this morning after a bunny into the ravine behind our house. Shawners went in after her after being very upset that she had run off. When he found her (thank God!), he carried her back.

Mommy: "So she ran after a bunny?"

Shawners: "A very bad bunny."

On Daddy's Photography

After seeing a picture Brando took of a ladybug flying away from Shawner's hand,

"Awesome! You're the BEST, Dad."

On Beauty

Looking at pictures Brando took of me.

"You're so beautiful, I'm going to faint."

On Being a Cheerleader

Shawners: "Mommy, you should be a cheerleader."

Me: "Me? Why?"

Shawners: "Because you would look really good as a cheerleader."

"Aw, thank you!" As I jump in the air bending my legs to one side and throwing my arms in the air with a, "Ra!"

Shawners: "But you need lots of learning."

On His Mommy

When I walked into the bathroom right now as he was taking a shower in Mom and Dad's bathroom, he says, "Ohh, look at the cute Mommy."

After I say, "Aw, that's so sweet." then, "Ohh, look at the cute Shawny."

He replies, "Ohh, look at the even cuter Mommy."

He melts my heart.
